We are natural beings. We are animals. Allowing ourselves to sync with nature's seasonal rhythms supports a year-round sustainable balance between output or productivity, and rest; and avoid burnout. You don't have to take our word for it. There's plenty of research to shows that energy levels, sleep patterns, and ability to focus naturally shift throughout the year.

When we live in harmony with the seasons, we experience life more fully. Nature supports us in ways our minds can’t always predict or understand.

How Each Seasons Impacts Us

The circadian rhythm isn't just 24 hours, it's seasonal.

Trying to maintain the same high-speed pace every day of the year isn't just exhausting, it is actually against your biology. In the UK, mental health is now the leading cause of long-term time off work, and a huge part of that comes down to the fact that we’ve been taught to ignore our natural rhythms. Science shows that when we ignore how shifting light affects our hormones and brain power, we end up with the kind of deep fatigue that leads straight to burnout. Seeing seasonal alignment as a biological requirement rather than a luxury allows you to manage your energy in a way that actually lasts.

SPRING

You’ll feel a restless urge to shake off the heavy energy of the last few months and start putting new ideas into motion as the returning light triggers the serotonin boost your brain needs to get moving.

 

SUMMER
 

This is your season to get out of your head and just be present, fueled by peak sunlight that keeps your cortisol and alertness higher so you can stay active and social well into the evening.


 

AUTUMN

Nature is showing you how to let things go gracefully by signalling your nervous system to cool down and reset your internal clock as the fading light shifts your focus back to what really matters.

WINTER

It’s the time to finally slow down and go inward to figure out what you actually want because the natural increase in melatonin is pulling your body to move slower and conserve its energy.
